download.png

We learned earlier this year that Disney’s Magical Express was coming to an end with the close of 2021, shortly after the announcement Mears (the company that executes Disney’s Magical Express and the company who provided resort transportation prior to Magical Express) announced they would be launching MEARS Connect for transportation to and from the Walt Disney World Resort. Today we now have more specifics on what this fee based transportation will look like.

Let’s take a deeper look shall we -

What to expect with MEARS Connect -

Quick access to Mears Connect once you land.
An arrival souvenir.
Limited wait time to board.
Limited stops to your hotel/resort.
Entertainment for you and your party while you ride.
Clean, sanitized vehicles.
Spacious, comfortable seating.
Professional, friendly drivers.
Unparalleled Safety.

There will be 2 types of service offered - 1st up is the standard service this will be most similar to Magical Express - large vehicles, shared service with monitored wait times. This price includes all toll and surcharges. The standard level will make limited stops and have you on your way within 20 minutes of checking in @ the MEARS Connect reception area. For a limited time the pricing is 16.00 per adult one way and 13.50 per child (ages 3-9) one way. $32 adult / $27 child roundtrip

Premium service is the second option and will cost $200.00 each way for a party of 4 and $55.00 for each additional guest - this service will be direct from the airport to Disney or vice versa.

What is an All Inclusive Resort

Greetings ~

In the last few weeks I have been getting quite a few requests for summer travel destinations and the biggest is the all inclusive. So I thought I would take some time and share about them and why they may be exactly what you and your family are looking for.

So let’s start at the beginning what exactly is an all inclusive? According to wikipedia - An all-inclusive resort is a vacation resort that includes at a minimum lodging, three meals daily, soft drinks, most alcoholic drinks, gratuities, and possibly other services in the price. Many also offer sports and non-motorized watersports and other activities that are included in the price as well.

Are there any in the United States? There are actually 2!

Club Med Sandpiper Bay located in Port St. Lucie Fl is a fantastic stateside based all inclusive for families. Want to learn more? Feel free to shoot me a message!!

Because it is always mine!!But today Disney announced Disney MagicMobile Service!! What is it (first let me apologize to Android users as it seems you will need to wait a bit longer) Launching in phases starting later this year, Disney MagicMobile service is a convenient and contactless way to access MagicBand features like theme park entry through the power of an iPhone, Apple Watch or other smart device. You will be able to create a Disney MagicMobile pass through the My Disney Experience app and add it to you smart device’s digital wallet. It works like magic – most features will be available by just holding up your smart device near an access point, just like you do with a MagicBand. Disney MagicMobile service and its features will roll out first on Apple devices.

You may still choose to use Disney MagicMobile service or a MagicBand – pick whichever option works best during your visit. You can even use both and alternate between the two for added flexibility. Disney will also soon be introducing more MagicBands in trendy new colors and fun designs featuring favorite Disney characters and stories.

Disney's Polynesian releases photos of new room refurbishment

Greetings ~

We have been waiting with baited breath to get a sneak peek at the new rooms being created at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and TODAY is the day!!

We learned a few months ago that the hotel side of the resort was about to undergo a rather large re-theming to bring Moana to the resort. As well as a refurb of the great ceremonial house and monorail platform but what was it going to look like? It stayed under wraps until now

Why I am excited about the holidays @ Disney in a Covid year

Greetings ~

It sounds silly I know. To say one is excited about scaled back events BUT let me explain. I have had the pleasure of experiencing the holidays at Disney for well over 30+ years. My memories from 30+ years ago are well… shall we say that they are not quite as clear as those from more recent years but alas I digress. When I worked for Disney Thanksgiving to New Years was my most LOVED time to be in the parks. There was just something a little more MAGICAL about that time. The lights, the music, the storytellers. But those same weeks are CEAZY CRAZY busy. The parks are crowded and the running to see it all is HARD.

So earlier this week I posted about the changes happening to the holidays due to Covid at Disney. Since the news broke I swear every post and article I read is how awful, how wrong, how sad, how blah blah blah. And I get it CHANGE IS HARD!! But let’s STOP and look at what is coming AND the fact that lowered controlled crowds will make this year a year to remember for all the right reasons!
